UNIQUE MODULAR DESIGN
TeraRanger Evo sensors consist of an opto-electronic sensing device (black module) and a choice of backboard (yellow model), which simply plugs-in to provide the sensor with its communication link and power management capabilities without the need for adapters or complex wiring. You simply choose the backboard that best suits your application and communication protocol! Both USB and I2C / UART backboards are available.
For first time users, we recommend the USB backboard as it allows quick tests on PC with our graphical user interface. This setup is also required for possible firmware updates in future.
Other backboards with industry standard interfaces and protocols can also be made to support your application. Contact Terabee at teraranger@terabee.com to discuss your project requirements.
VERSATILE PERFORMANCE
Choose between 2 operating modes. Go “Fast” and detect fast-moving objects with sampling rates as high as 130 frames per second. Select “Close-range” for improved minimum range, with measurements starting from just 10 centimeters.
BUILD ANDROID APPLICATIONS WITH OUR TECHNOLOGY!
Our Android SDK provides an easy way to communicate with Terabee sensors on an Android device. The SDK supports the following sensor models via a USB interface:
TeraRanger Evo 3M
TeraRanger Evo 60M
TeraRanger Evo 64px
TeraRanger Multiflex
The SDK can auto-detect which type of sensor is connected to a device.
To connect the sensor to an Android device, you will need a USB OTG cable and a USB backboard for each sensor.
